Theta Chi Founding. Theta Chi was founded on April 10, 1856 at Norwich University. Of the 64 North American Interfraternity Conference men's fraternities, Theta Chi is the 21st in chronological order of founding.

University of Florida Founding. The Tau Chapter of Theta Chi recieved its charter in July of 1916 becoming the fifth fraternity on campus.

Alumni BBQ Reconnect. Reunite.
Please join us November 15th for the largest alumni gathering in Tau Chapter’s 92-year history. The festivities will be coordinated around the home football game: Florida vs. South Carolina, kickoff TBD.

Events

Cocktail Meet and Greet: On Friday November 14th Theta Chi proudly presents a cocktail meet and greet from 6-8 pm. This event will allow those members that have come in a day early to view the chapter house and greet old and new brothers. Along with this event and all the rest of the Gamedays this year Theta Chi has received an alcohol waiver from the grand chapter which will allow the legal consumption of alcohol on the premise from Friday 5 pm to Sunday 5 pm. Please look back to this site for official university policy information.

The Main Event: will be a BBQ or Brunch depending on kickoff time. If the game is early expect a morning brunch and if the it is a night game expect a late afternoon BBQ. In addition to alumni, family, and friends the lovely ladies of Pi Beta Phi Sorority will also be in attendance. Please check back to this page as times and attendance will be finalized.
